All courses are run solely on a donation basis. All expenses are met by donations from those who, having completed a course and experienced the benefits of Vipassana, wish to give others the same opportunity. Neither the Teacher nor the assistant teachers receive remuneration; they and those who serve the courses volunteer their time. Thus Vipassana is offered free from commercialisation.

Old students - Those who have completed a 10-day Vipassana Meditation course with S.N. Goenka or his Assistant Teachers.
Old students have the opportunity to provide Dhamma Service at the courses listed above. To apply for Dhamma Service, click on the 'Yes' under the 'Servers Needed' column next to the relevant course.
Alternatively, view the Old student regional site. A username and password will be required to access these pages.

Centre Work Periods - The emphasis will be on integrating the practice of Vipassana into daily life while improving the facilities for future meditators. Old students are welcome to stay at Dhamma Medini for as much of the period as is convenient. There will be group meditation periods and in the intervening periods meditators will help look after the centre. There are plenty of different types of jobs suitable to all the different skills people bring with them.

Children's and Teenagers' Courses are designed as introductory courses and include the teaching of Anapana meditation for children from ages 8 to 12 years, and 13 to 16 years respectively.

Twenty-day Courses - Old students may apply for a twenty-day course if they have completed a minimum of 5 10-day courses and a Satipatthana Course, have been maintaining their two-hours-per-day practice for two years and have been maintaining sila for one year.

3-day Courses for Old Students start on the evening of the first day (usually a Friday) and finish at 4pm on the last day (usually a Monday).

Satipatthana Sutta courses Satipatthana Sutta courses have the same timetable and discipline as 10-day course. The difference is that in the taped evening discourses the Satipatthana Sutta is carefully examined. This is the principal text in which the technique of Vipassana is systematically explained. These courses are open to serious old students who have sat (not including courses served) at least three 10-day courses, have not been practising any other meditation techniques since last 10-day course, have been practising this technique of Vipassana for at least one year, and who are trying to maintain their meditation practice and the five precepts in their daily lives at the very minimum from the time of applying to the course.
